Overall Impression: Cute set of Snoopy lights

Nice: A must-have for Peanuts and Snoopy fans

Naughty: Only front side is decorated; rear has large, ugly copyright notice

This set of 10 incandescent lights features heavy-duty plastic ornaments designed to look like Christmas balls in two dimensions. They feature two different scenes, alternating along the string: one shows Snoopy, wearing a red cap, decorating a tree with Woodstock, and the other depicts Snoopy atop his brightly decorated dog house. The images are of good quality and are nicely laminated onto the plastic ornaments. Unfortunately, this set is designed to be viewed from one side only, as the opposite side has a rather large and ugly copyright notice plastered across the ornament. If you are reasonably careful to face the image side out, you’ll never see the other side.

The lights are UL listed and made for Roman Inc. of Bloomingdale, Illinois and were apparently introduced in 2008. They are made in China.

The light string has a generous amount of wire: there is a 25 inch lead-in, and a foot between bulbs.

Packaging utilizes a routine cardboard sleeve and would be suitable for storage.  Be careful when you first open the package as the ornaments are loaded with lots of glitter that showers out of the box.

The set is available from Bronners and sold for $21.99 at Christmas 2009.

Overall, as ardent Peanuts fans, we were quite pleased with this set.
