Campbell’s Soup 2009 Glass Ornament

Overall Impression: Another good ball ornament in the long-running series from Campbell’s Soup.

  • Nice: Good color and image printing.
  • Naughty: Campbell should release more specialty non-ball ornaments like those sold in 2008.

The 29th in the great Campbell Soup ball ornament series, this beautiful solid red glass ornament shows the Campbell boy as Santa with a large green sack filled with three cans of Tomato Soup, green beans, tomatoes, and carrots. The sack is surrounded by snow and dated for 2009. The kids were introduced in 1904, with the first dolls offered as promotional items in 1910.

In 2008 and some earlier years, the soup company offered several beautiful glass and non-glass ornaments, including very colorful representations of corn stalks and tomatoes. We’d like to see the company offer other ornaments in the coming years.

The ornament is about 3 inches wide.

This ornament is available on the Campbell Soup website for $6.99 plus shipping; item number 28121.
