Kurt S. Adler Matte Glass Balls

Overall Impression: Good choice for matte-finish solid color glass ornaments.

  • Nice: Very inexpensive; five colors (burgundy, dark red, red, green, gold, and silver).
  • Naughty: Matte finish is not vibrant; burgundy is too dark to have any real color.

These Kurt S. Adler matte glass ornaments are described as “KSA European Style Glass Ornaments” and are hand-crafted in China. Each set of six is available in the following colors: burgundy, dark red, red, green, gold, and silver. Because these balls have a matte finish, the colors are not vibrant. Also, the burgundy color is too dark, and verges on being black. The green, gold, and silver balls are very nice, however. At the price of $2.99 for 6 ornaments, they were a bargain.

They are 65 mm wide (about 2.5 inches).

The ornament sets were available from the Macy’s website at Christmas 2009 for a price of $2.99.
