Perfectly-Shaped Tree for White House Blue Room

One of the most beautiful douglas-fir trees we’ve ever seen is the official White House Christmas Tree for 2009, displayed in the Blue Room. The National Christmas Tree Association noted that the tree was grown by long-time tree farmers Eric and Gloria Sundback of Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

An article in the Shepherdstown Chronicle provided background on the incredible history of the Sundbacks; more coverage is found at suite 101.com.

The Sundback’s farm is now run by Dan Taylor and Bryan Holler. If you’re in the DC area, you should check out their trees.
